It is official.

I am too stoopid to figure out the Fidget. It is the K1B thingie. Half of them it go the way they are supposed to, and other times, for some reason I've made some twisted bastardized thingie that looks like I've made two stitches out of one.

I will try again tomorrow.

Have you tried contacting the pattern's author? ;-) You are knitting 1 below, and not knitting one in the back loop, right? K1B is commonly used for both, so I expected to see a bit of knitting through the back of the stitch from some folks.

If you are knitting 1 below, you can start to recognize where to put them, once you have a few rows going. You will start to see these little "v" shapes in the fabric, and you want to put your K1B right above it. That might confuse you more than it's worth... but the point is to find a way to visually repeat the pattern without having to remember which row you're on.

I wish we saw you more often... then I could just show you. You should join us for lunch every pub day (last Friday of the month). :-)

I didn't get it either at first, until I had a one-on-one with the lovely pattern's lovely creator. And even after that, I apparently quit paying attention at one point and ripped it out and began again. But now it's perfect, and I can't wait to wear it! I just have to tear myself away from this 1960s coat thing and add on the f****t's buttons. Which are also lovely, and also from Miss Robin. :)
